    Country Music Superstar
Blake Shelton Has often said that everything he ever wanted to sing Country music, have his songs on the radio and maybe – maybe only – have a No. 1 hit. He made this dream possible with his 2001 debut single “Austin.” This week he does it again for that 30th time In his career with Texas The lead single from his upcoming album Only for leisure useout of Friday, May 9th. The song also had 1st place in Great Britain for eight weeks and a two -week run in Canada.

“It was a few years ago since I had a single No. 1 in No. 1, and I was cheered over it,” said Shelton. “I had no idea whether ‘Texas’ would be a song number one, but when I heard it for the first time, I knew that it was something else and it sounded like nothing else I had ever done.”

Produced by Shelton’s long -time employee Scott HendricksPresent Texas was written by Johnny ClawsonPresent Kyle stubblePresent Josh DorrAnd Especially Guzman. The route marks the first No. 1 single for Clawson, Sturrock and Dorr and the second for Guzman.

“I’m looking forward to these songwriters,” continued Shelton. “I know that some of the first songs are number one, and if you have a situation in which someone gets his big break and you can be a little small part of it, it does something special.”

Shelton joins a small country club of artists who has 30 or more Country -Singles No. 1, including the Country Music Hall of Famers George Strait, Alabama, Kenny Chesney and Ronnie Milsap (based on R&R Plus Media Base statistics that have been kept since 1973). The milestone lets him think about the street that brought him here. “Texas marks my 30 number one as an artist. Thirty is a lot, and 30 songs number one are incredible and I really try to record everything,” he said. “I have to thank the fans and the industry for their support in these years.”

“I’ve always been a nerd for statistics and things like that in country music,” he added. “I always look for artist statistics, regardless of whether it is Ronnie Milsap or Alabama or George Strait or Reba, and only to see how many albums they sold or how many songs No. One had, and for this reason that I open number 1 singles with 30 number one.
