The country music icon Blake Shelton has officially achieved a new milestone in his famous career: 30 Country -Singles No. 1. His last chart topper, “Texas,” serves as a lead single from his upcoming album Only for leisure usePublished on Friday, May 9 on BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.

The song has already found international success, exceeded an impressive eight -week run in Great Britain in Great Britain and for two weeks in the Canadian charts.

“It was a few years ago since I had a single No. 1 in No. 1, and I was cheered over it,” said Shelton. “I had no idea whether ‘Texas’ would be a song number one, but when I heard it for the first time, I knew that it was something else and it sounded like nothing else I had ever done.”

A career milestone for Shelton – and a breakthrough for new writers

“Texas” was produced by long -time employee Scott Hendricks and was written by Johnny Clawson, Kyle Sturrock, Josh Dorr and Lalo Guzman. The route marks a big breakthrough for its authors – it is the first No. 1 single for Clawson, Sturrock and Dorr and the second for Guzman.

“I’m looking forward to these songwriters,” said Shelton. “I know that some of the first songs are number one, and if you have a situation in which someone gets his big break and you can be a little small part of it, it does something special.”

Shelton now joins a rare group of Country legends with 30 or more goals of number 1, including George Strait, Alabama, Kenny Chesney and Ronnie Milsap. When he gave in with the performance, he recognized the long street to this point.

“Texas marks my 30 number one as an artist. Thirty is a lot, and 30 songs number one are incredible and I really try to record everything,” he said. “I have to thank the fans and the industry for their support in these years.”

A deep love for country music -and country music statistics

Shelton, a self-proclaimed statistics enthusiast, finds the performance almost surreal.

“I’ve always been a nerd for statistics and things like that in country music,” he admitted. “I always look for artist statistics, regardless of whether it is Ronnie Milsap or Alabama or George Strait or Reba, and only to see how many albums they sold or how many songs No. One had, and for this reason that I open number 1 singles with 30 number one.
