Country star and actress Lainey Wilson officially enter the fashion world with the introduction of her new premium boat brand Golden West Boots today, Thursday, June 5. The first collection of the brand is now available at Goldenwestboots.com and from a special pop-up event in Wilsons Bell Bottoms Up Restaurant and Bar in Nashville, TN.
From music to leather: a personal passion project
Wilson, known for her strength voice, her storytelling and her brave style, now adds “founder” to your growing list of awards. In cooperation with the celebrated designer Michael Petry, the duo created a boot line that is rooted in Heritage, Heart and modern western fashion. Petry brings decades of expertise from working with prestigious brands such as Frye, Ralph Entertainment Scroll, Prada, Adidas and Tumi.
“This brand is a piece of my heart,” said Wilson. “It’s not just about what we wear – it is about the stories we wear, the music that we and the paths we lure every day moves. This brand is for the trail blazers, the dreamers, the makers, the idiosyncratic souls and the wild hearts.”
She added: “I grew up with boots on the farm, on Rodeos and on stage. They not only represent fashion but also hard work. I am so proud to create a brand with incredible craftsmanship – with every thread, every piece of leather and every detail with purpose and soul.”
The creative cooperation behind the boots
The designer Michael Petry praised Wilson’s practical leadership and creative input in the design of Golden West boots.
“It is an honor and a privilege to work with Lainey at the start of Golden West boots,” said Petry, who acts as a creative director. “She has brought an authenticity and perspective with her that is rare and unique, and it shows every detail of the boots. She has guided the introduction of this brand with heart and vision and it was a reflection of her mind and grit.”
First look: the opening collection
The debut cast includes nine unmistakable styles, which range from high and short cowgirl boots to a bold platform design. Each couple is handcrafted and combines luxurious materials, thoughtful details and some unexpected twists, which characterize the collection.
Wilson gave the fans a little insight into the outstanding “Atta Girl” platform in Schwarz during their appearance on the red carpet at the American Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday, May 26th,.
